  • The Studio

    Move Studio is a cute little private training studio here in Devonport. Tucked away down Devon Lane, it is a fully equipped, functional training space, split over two small levels. Inside we have a range of free weights, a cables machine, kettlebells, TRX’s and everything else you need for a great workout.

  • Membership

    Conveniently for people working with Hugh, we have a small number of studio memberships available. These have been restricted to 50 so that the studio never gets crowded or overly busy.

    These are simply $108 per month for a basic membership, or $145 for a full membership with services* included.

    There is a joining fee of $95 that covers an initial assessment, your first programme and also includes a six week follow up session.

  • Initial Assessment

    The initial assessment is designed to establish what you need, before you begin your journey working towards your goals.

    Where necessary we will assess your current fitness level and health. We also discuss your goals, aspirations and past training history. From here we create a training programme that fits the time you have available to train.

The Journey…

In the beginning – the Orientation

When you first join us at the studio, you will be taken through an orientation process. This generally takes an hour and includes the Initial Assessment to determine your starting point, we discuss your goals, plan your journey and show you through your first program. This is all included in the joining fee of $95.

It also includes a six week follow up session. You can ask for this once you have completed your first few weeks, made some progress and are ready to move to the next level.

Once you have completed your Orientation it is up to you to choose your path…

These are your options along the way:

Reassessments to evaluate your progress and reset your goals                             $55 (1/2 hr)

Often your progress will be good, but sometimes your focus will drift and you will lose your way. Whatever happens, a reassessment is a great way to evaluate your progress and either push the restart button or look to elevate your goals and push to the next level.

Program Upgrade to make adjustments to your programme                                $55 (1/2 hr)

It is important to regularly tweak what you are doing with your training. After 8-12 weeks the body tends to adapt to the exercises and program you have been working on and the progress slows. It is wise to change things up at this point and that’s where a program upgrade is great. In a program upgrade session we make adjustments to your existing program, add new exercises, check technique and tweak things generally, to push you to the next level.

Reassessment plus Program Upgrade (combination of the above)                         $95 (1 hr)

Program Reboot – to completely redesigning your training program        $95 (1 hr)

Sometimes it is good to completely change what you are doing, or take some time to learn new things. If your mind is not challenged by the training, your body probably won’t be either. This is a longer appointment so that we can completely redesigning your training program.
